Sudha: Radhu, utho beta! Three days in a row youve been home. You were supposed to go to work today remember?
Radz is unmoved, if she was listening she was not showing any signs of it. Sudha sighs frustratedly
"Aaj raat ko Ritu ja raha hai waapis, tumhe airport jaana hai aur tum kaam se lautogi nahi to kaise chalega?"
Radz clutches the edge of her pillow tight...
Sushil: soney do usko! (from the doorway)
Sudha: Aap please isko bigaadiye nahi
Sushil: Things are not going well for her Sudha, she has my luck
Sudha: Dont dramatize it Sushil
Radhika wakes and watches her parents argue over her "Toxicity levels" "arsenic"  "birth defects" and other terms spin around in her mind.... her work melds with her relaxation, its almost like she lives it every moment of the day. But is also made aware of the emotional baggage her Dad seems to be carrying around

Sudha: You have a wonderful job now, dont get emotional Sushil
Sushil: Yes, yeh kaunsa job hai 5 saal mein? 5 va?
Sudha: This is about Radhu
Sushil: She is driven, ambitious passionate, emotional, honest, failures to aayenge hi iski life mein...
Sudha: SUSHIL PLEASE
Sushil unmindful "Haan bolti zyaada hai"
Radhu "Pappaaaaaaaaaaa" sits right up in bed
Radhu: Ma, main yeh job chhod rahi hoon, I already have one Program Director, I dont need a "Liaison Dorector" bus maine soch liya hai, kal raat ko poora isi mein nikal gaya, aaj jaaoongi aur apna notice de doongi, phir aapki college mein English ya Sociology 101 ki sub ban jaaoongi"
Sudha: PEHLE BRUSH TO KAR LO! (irritated)
Sushil: I will drive you beta, tum notice do, uske baad tumhe Santushti Complex lekar jaaoonga, shopping kar lena, mera signing bonus to tumne liya hi nahi (grins happily, hugging her)
Radhu: Papa aap pehle shave karen! (sulks) waise hum logon ko saah hang out kiye hue kaafi time ho gaya hai, Ma ko yahi chhod dete hain
Sudha cutting her off "waise Papa ke daadhi hoti thi shuru mein, tumhe yaad hai na?
Radz laughs "He was portly and round and had a beard like gabbar singh" (giggles)
An image of a man flashes across her mind, a man fingering his soul patch........ very tall, with glasses, lean, with big eyes.... long fingers...........
A strange feeling snakes through her system... new never before experienced, its like the anticipation before the board exam results, its like waiting to board the first international flight............
Sushil: Sudha I need to speak with you
Sudha: We already talked about the factory Sushil (dismissive)
Sushil: This is about Radhu
Radhika: Mere liye nayi factory? Its much like the Hindi movies Papa, ek kaam mein fail to kya hua ek nayi factory lagwa denge Papa, yayyyyyyyyy I can be a CEO. I shall employ people, flout the rules, evade taxes and live rich,  I cant wait for the factory opening.......
Sudha: RADHU PLEASE BETA
Sushil laughs......... shakes his head, gets off the bed
Sudha: Koi baat nahi karega is se jab tak yeh brush nahi kar leti (throws the pillow on her)
Sushil: Tum bhi itna zyaada bolti thi yaad hai shuru mein? (grins)
Sudha: BILKUL NAHI. I have no clue, yeh hamare yahan kaise paida ho gayi. Yeh soyi rehti hai to ghar mein kitni shaanti hai
Radz has walked to the living room and is talking with Gopi the maid and her bro
Sushil: I cannot bear to see her go Sudha
Sudha: You can go with her Sudhir, as dahez! (laughs as she makes Radhu's bed)
Sushil: Do you want to approach the topic?
Sudha: She is in grief, this project was her life for 6 months, she has never taken a day off in 4 years, abhi dekhiye 3 din se ghar par hai.(stops what she is doing to watch her daughter, an auto screeches to a halt outside as a  bus driver yells)
Sushil: The task of finding the right guy is not easy
Sudha: Right guy nahi, a guy who has limited hearing! (hisses, bahut bolti hai Sudhir)
Sushil helps her pick up things off the floor "You are funny my dear"
Sudha: I mean it, a man who has limited hearing and who is rich. DEKHO kitna samaan hai iske paas, she is more spoilt than the Duchess of York"
Sushil: She is mine, she is my most prized possession........
Sudha: Let go Sushil, her hubby might get jealous.. (laughs)
Sushil: Honey do, achha hai.... (pauses) Tum baat karogi kya?
Sudha: I dont like the idea of looking in our friends circle Sushil, newspaper mein ad kyon nahi?
Sushil (arrogant) We live in Saket NOW, we are not a nobody. My daughter will NOT marry a nobody! (vehemently)
Sudha: What if she has some one in mind?
Sushil: If she did, she wouldnt be staying up in bars until 2 AM with half a dozen people. She would be on my couch (does not say the word "making out")
Sudha: Bus bus stop it right there, no more details required....... I still think we are doing this in rebound, lets give it time... she might start enjoying work... who knows
Sushil: Nahi, she needs to be happy.
Sudha: She is already! Suno zara usko bahar! (the peek outside, she is covering Ritwik with moist laundry, Gopi is apalled holds the bucket and waits looks like Radz has conficated the bucket as she was heading out to dry them in the front balcony, Ritwik is quiet, she is chattering as she covers his head with his own moist shorts, like a skull cap
Sushil: she is a brat!
Sudha: Agreed! We need to find her a man that will be her equal.
Radz: I am the boss! (unaware of her parents convo)

Krishan: Pass the plate of halwa please
Mridula: Your third serving Krishan?
Dadi: Mridula cares for you more than any body ever can
Krishan: she cooks better than anyone.
Pawan's wife Padmini :Bhayya I treat kids better than any body
Mridula: And cook up a storm IF you want to (kind and caring)
Padmini: thanks Bhabhi
Ateendra: Tayiji I dont care for mint in my paranthas, may I have a plain one please?
Mridula: Sure beta
Her own son is on the couch with his sisters, listening to music thru one ear, watching CNBC with the other. His sisters giggle and whisper..., he adjusts hi ear buds, he is used to his old beat up ones, these are his 6th or 7th pair he cant recall.... he realized on his way home from Janpath that his were in the bag of the girl with the curly mass of hair, the tall, fair high cheekboned girl with alabaster complexion, the plunging neckline................. he wondered how it would feel to kiss that cleft......... he shut his eyes for s econd.... recreating her visual in his mind...
Mridula: Raghav, for you beta?
He turns and smiles at his Mom
Dadaji: Main aur yeh aaj raat ko ghoomne ja rahe hain to paint the town red!
Krishan: Nayana ko bhi le leejiye saath mein. Aapki help kar degi aur uski....
Dadi cuts him off "Thats enough Krishan"
Krishan: So now he is the apple of everyone's eyes becoz he accomplished the impossible?
Mridula: Krishan......
Krishan is smiling "He is quite unbelievable actually! I wobder how much he spoke when he was there in UP for a week"
Ruchira: Bhayya actually spoke 11 sentences
Rohini: Nahi he spoke 17
Ateendra: I bid for 4
Mridula: Kya mazaak hai yeh, jab yeh CMU mein tha mujhe roz raat ko 20 minutes baat karta tha
Dadaji: Haan usme 17 minute tum karti thi
They all laugh together
They are all celebrating the success of the tannery license in UP....
Raghav gets up from the couch walks over to the table and takes a bowl of halwa
Dadaji: Dekho uski pasand ki mithai to khud lene aaya! Uski pasand ki koi mile to baat bhi karega! (smug)
Krishan: Iske saath rehna pade to punishment se kam nahi ma....
Mridula: Shave beta.... (as he leans his forehead on his Mom's shoulder), aur apni yeh odd si daadhi hatao
Dadaji: Woh bhi karega agar ladki dhang ki ho...
Mridula: I hope so Dad, pehle yeh bolta nahi, oopar se shave bhi na kare to ladki apni ma ke yaha doosre din.
Raghav: We'll see!
The adults are astonished as usual at the first spoken words....
