Part 148


Ritwik’s Mom, Vaishaili aunty had her second baby… another boy… Vithal Uncle sent her a text… at work… she had gone to their room at 1AM ish… he wasn’t in bed… and she didn’t know when or if he returned to bed….
She woke and got ready for work, Sanjay wanted her to stay late to finish a presentation to the Arabs tonite…. “Nobody is waiting for me at home”
“So might as well she told herself
Bai called to complain about Dadi’s underhand dealings…money Bai had put away for Aada’s plan for extending the terrace and adding a room to fit their growing things…. Most of the money was now gone… Fa Bua’s hubby had been presented with it to start a “company” to deal in “property and stock”
Bai sounded really distraught… Khanak reassured her… finally scolding her that she would wire the money if she was so upset
“If its your money or Aada’s” it hurts the same” Bai told in despair
Khanak’s eyes welled up with tears…
“Dadi will never change Bai… Sonali and Bua will always be her favorites… Fa will never get a job… Shaa(Shaan is right?)” She stopped abruptly as her thoughts wandered to her arrogant husband…
“You are educating Sonali… I suggest you quit sending her tuition fees” Bai ranted
“And If she didn’t complete her nursing degree what would we achieve Bai?”Khanak asked calmly
“Nobody would be willing to marry her. In that case I will have to spend twice as much in dowry”
“You found a good man… an angel… Godsent … a handsome rich boy” Bai gushed… tearful “You must never fight with him. I need a grandbaby right away” Bai giggled…
“I will go adopt Vaishali Aunty’s.. Bai, she had a boy”
“I want a girl beta, just like you, shy and beautiful….. AND TOUGH” her mother’s voice shook as she spoke…
A text pinged…. She looked at her phone… it was her husband… “Did u take a cab?” he asked…
She didn’t respond…
“Sonali wants to do internship at Leelavati or Apollo Delhi Bai” Khanak shared
“Oh!”
Khanak realized her mother had NO idea about how big or posh both were… she did not have any connections…. Her family was full of it… she wouldn’t dare ask… it might be a matter of a phone call for Dadi or Dad… Dadi’s and all their Docs were from Leelavati
“I will ask her to do it in Navi Mumbai Bai”
“I will speak with Dadi about, talking to Bua… you need to start focusing on your life”
“I am…” She lied…
“Aada wants us to visit for Holi, Dadi, your sasur and saas all invited us”
“Really?” shocked
“Haan… kyon?” Bai was surprised
“Ummm” “I want to visit for Holi” Khanak whined
“Will your husband come?”
“I don’t want him to”… she lied….
Her first Holi in real sense with him… around the corner…she could imagine the look in his eyes…

    Both are still not talking..and she'll be late today, that would send shaan over the edge..I guess he's already furious!:p
    Waiting for the holi celebrations..and wanting to see how they are going to talk abt this issue..

    Her Bai is right smwhr... She focus too much on her responsibilities n family thn njoyng n living her own life.... Bt thn thts hw khanak is....

    He din returnd !! WORK again....

    Loved it..:) Ritwik now have a younger brother..Oh..So Shaan indeed went out..Workholic!!!

    Again she has to stay late in office..She sounds dejected like Shaan doesn't care for her..

    Khanak's dadi did that..>:O She is always partial to her daughter and Sonali..:x

    Bai wants grandchild..:) A girl just like Khanak..:) Awww..When will Shaan accept to have a kid is a million dollor question!!!

    Sonali's aspirations are big..hmmm..

    Will Khanak's Aada and Bai come for Holi??? She wants to go to Gujarat..lol..:D Shaan will be livid even to think..He wont let go..

    Shaan texted but she didn't reply..lol..:D Why she came in cab???

    touching conversation btw bai n khanak!
    agree with her khanak needs to concentrate on her life and khanak is start to point out what shaan acknowledged abt her family :)) but I know still she wont stop helpin her bua :(((
    some people just like bua n fa r used to being dependent on some1 money dis needs to stop!!
    hehehehe! she is ignoring him n he wont like it lol!!
    baby issue is everyone talking abt!! Lol!

    sorry i dont comment on ur ff...as im a silent reader...nd no dout u write wonderful....bt i personally think tht shanak characher r vry reserved...sometimes it becomes really difficult to understand thm....im nt complainig im jst sharing my views point wd u...

    Finally she has accepted what Shaantanu was correct about for ages! I'm sure he knew the benefactors took her for granted! How much she'll help it will never be enough! She needs to stop...she is just has to much resistance and self-less devotion for her 'extended' family!
    Bai reaction was like any other mother, she wants the betterment of her daughter!

    I cant wait to the day one of the million issues of theirs will finally take a back seat..

    Waiting for Casa Holi! I'm sure it be elegant and as always different :)

    Really Khanak has such selfish relatives......at one part she should be taking a stern step..........taking full responsibility of her bua's family is just too much.......she shouldn't let herself be exploited!! loved the update and waiting eagerly for a Shanak interaction!!

    beautiful, I kinda wish she followed her mother's advise and cut off funding, maybe limit to funding Sonali's education maybe but not to send money to her selfish relatives that keep spending her hardwork results
