The Day after Holi… almost Noon

“Its not how we snare rich guys” Khanak muttered…humiliated…

He froze in his tracks, his back was facing her, he turned around ever so slowly… blistering…

He began to approach talking softly almost inaudibly… Khanak felt like she stood in front of a high-speed bullet train….

“We are not talking about you are we Mrs Gujral?” he bit out…

“You could freeze off wild raging volcanoes with one look Ms. Arctic Queen"

“You don’t touch your husband’s money 2 years after marriage” furious.........

She stood pasted to the wall, like one of his huge American pop culture posters framed along the way to the master bath…

He placed his hands on both sides of her head…. She looked at his button…

“We are not talking about YOU are we?”

He repeated, fully angry…

“You clock speeds of Olympic sprinters, when you see a rich guy  approach”

“You lie to yourself about how attracted you are to him” he spit fire on her soft bare neck… she cringed… turning her face away…

“Being alone with the guy bothers you, but being with him in a room full of people agitates you more… SO  this is not about you”his open mouth landed moistly on her shoulder… she immediately brought her hand out to push his face away, he struck it down, captured it behind her back… her multi colored bangles, adorning both hands…matching her beautiful phulkari kurta… snapped and shattered on to the Belgian marble floor………… the grip was firm…his words scathing as it scorched a path over her collar bone…….. reveling in the audible groans of pleasure it invoked in his wife..

“You Mrs Gujral, have the audacity to transfer hundreds of thousands of rupees to your husband’s account a day after the wedding”

“We cant be talking about you,Sonali is a joke (derisive)… you would dress up in a saree and go meet a suitor on Daddy’s insistence completely ignoring your true feelings……… nobody would know your true feelings…… you loathe rich men, Mrs Gujral” his lips closed on hers… hungrily…… her bangles continued to snap and shatter…….

“If I hadn’t accosted you in the hallway that nite, you would have married Nirav Patel” he bit her lower lip…….. crushing her to the wall…….

“You would have taken your lil secret (of being attracted to a wealthy coworker)to the grave” he said bitterly….. continuing to plunder….. her struggle at the back stopped… he gently caressed her hands… as she let herself relax….he began to consider releasing her hands…they stayed that way interminably, drinking from each other……. Like lashing rains after a thunder storm… “She is not you” he said firmly.. reminding her of that cringe worthy behavior all over again
