Part 208


Kids paused to stare at him, and whispered in Marathi and giggled….. Khanak quickly pulled the tucked in folds out of her belly….
He didn’t say a word…she looked like a Maharashtrian housewife…gruhani as the TV channels referred to… HIS WIFE… she looked like she belonged in Chembur… amongst the cooker whistles and Marathi news and Ganpati prayers…
It irked him no end… she was gone one nite…. And he found her transformed….
“I am not going back” she said… before he could even say Hi!
An oldish woman entered the apartment and spoke to Khanak in chaste Marathi U tyānnā kan'yā kāhīhī pāṭhavilē cāra bŏksa prārthanā gōṣṭī samāviṣṭa (the boxes u sent downstairs didn’t contain the pooja things)
Khanak looked worried……….the woman turned to Shaan and asked authoritatively Āpaṇa mulagā kōṇa āhē? Āpaṇa kāya karāvē lāgēla (who are you son? What do u need?)
Mī mājhī patnī miḷaviṇyāsāṭhī ālē (I came to get my wife) he said firmly, eyes on Khanak words directed at the old lady…
Khanak blushed… startled… hearing Marathi from her husband for the first time ever…
“I was born and raised in Mumbai Mrs Gujral… did u forget it all in one nite?”he asked succinctly … as he entered boldly without taking his kolhas off… the old lady busied herself in opening and closing cartons… she went into the kitchen to look for further stuff…
Khanak backed until her back felt her favorite window sill…
“I am not going back with you” she said in English… her voice almost firm…her face flushed… at the vocal declaration from hubby… the kids had brought more gawkers they all stood by the door… teens and young adults… staring at the couple….while the guy checked his wife out in the inexpensive cotton saree… and the dull gold blouse he had seen a couple times…. Plunging neckline… bra strap like clasps at the back… almost sleeveless but not quite… as they readied for a war…

    OMG first time he speak marathi infront of khanak and us too ;)
    oh God the athority in his voice eyes only on khanak and that sexy voice speaking marathi i read it 3 times hehheheee awww i LOVE IT :D

    now he is jelaous of chembur also hahhahaaa shan u r too much man ur wife is YOURS only dont worry :) but i luv the jealousy ;)
    omg dekhne wale dekhte reh jayenge ;) everybody is watching them its bad manners actually lets c update soon waiting eagerlyyyyyyyy :D

    Wow!!! Loved it!!! ♥♥♥ Shaan spoke Marathi..:) Too good!!! :) Khanak doesn't want to go home..And wanna stay in Chembur..

    And yes..She did transform..Are they gonna fight in front of all? :O

    hehehehe he didnt like her transformation lol just doesnt want her jn chembur does he loved his possession n check out she must be lookin beautiful :))

    fabulous aditi.....non-romantic situation creates the most hype in your stories....loved his marathi line....he wont let her go for so many reasons one is chembur certainly....if they separate his going to be on a death row if she goes back to chembur....it makes his insecure about her past.....loved his direct nature and hopefully the fight reaches some conclusion this time.....khanak seems determined this time around.....

    Whats with the mini halts? Can't wait for the next!

    Loved his Marathi! Even I was surprised, he was willing to speak.

    His irked about her look and ease! Good. I like him to stew and burn for more till it finally settles down :P

    I want them to FIGHT! Its always entertaining to see them verbally sparring...I don't want Khanak to be persuaded easily either this time. She should play hard to get :P

    Shantanu, his attitude, his marathi and his possessiveness for his wife...........everything was superb!! loved Khanak too.........eagerly waiting for the next Aditee!!

    Loved the way Shantanu checked out his wife and he didn't like her looking like she belongs to Chembur.
    I am surprised and loved Shantanu speaking Marathi in front of Khanak first time with authority and possessiveness.
    Khanak don't want to go back with him
    Every body is watching them
    What will Shantanu do now
