Radhika typing away furiously “I AM TOO”

“Is THIS how you do it?” “Already Papa and I are losing sleep over HOW we are going to pull it off, ladka aimless, family super affluent, tum dono height of infatuation mein, shaadi itni jaldi, am I the only person that sees all this?”

Sushil is flying to Maharashtra later in the day, he is reading his morning paper, while chewing on his parantha.

Sudha: Sushil?

Sushil: Su, you have said this exact same list atleast a dozen times since the engagement.

Sudha:It’s the truth (barking)

Sushil: Sudha (pained)

Radhika: which one on the list do you want to change most, aap mujhe batao, main aaj hi kaam par lag jaati hoon, I have nothing to do anyway, bus 400 pages review karna hai, donors ki meeting ka prep hai.

Sudha: The top thing on my list is for you to quit talking so much……..

Radhika: Impossible! NEXT…

Sudha: Apne usko bolo koi naukri kar le, college mein mere colleagues are in shock ki 21^st century mein koi berozgaar se shaadi kar rahi hai ladki.

Radhika: He writes apps Ma!

Sudha:Quit your job, see if it feeds you for a month!

Sushil: Gopi, meri chai lao zara

Ananya walks in with 4 bags… “Radhu, try kar lo sham tak,lekar chaloongi tumhe,,, for fitting

Sushil: Aa jao beta kha lo.

Sudha: Who ghar par kha aayi hogi (braiding her hair)

Ananya:Ma aaj aapka Calculus 4 proctoring than a?

SudhaLfrustrated and disappointed) I haven’t been thinking about work much Anu.

Radhika is texting and typing on her key board.

Ananya walks up to the study desk in the corner of the living room, pulls Radhu’s curly pony tail… “Kahan hai aashiq?”

Radhika: Under water…

Anu:Toone abhi shaadi ki nahi, already doob gaya?

Radhika: PAPAAAA…… Bhabhi is so annoying. FYI, he is “free-diving” at the Oberoi pool.

Ananya is impressed, ……she is short and plump, with pink cheeks and long hair…

Sudha smacks her daughter hard, “ek to dhang se baat karo tum, theek hai na, Bhabhi hain tumhari, us ghar mein poori paltan hai, aisi badtameezi nahi chalegi”

Sushil wiping his hand on a towel “ Anu, Rachit ne Claridges ka kya bola?”

Anu: Papa advance kuch Rs.16 lakh hai shaayad

Sudha drops a spoon, she was stirring her chai with..

Sushil (brave) Chalo budget mein hai…

Sudha: ADVANCE hai, sahi keh raho aap..

Anu:Ma, yeh UP ja rahi hai agle hafte?

Sudha: Shaadi ke 4 din pehle tak yeh UP aati jaati rahengi…

Anu:NGO hai koi

Radhika is truly upset now…

Radhika: Bhabhi, no don’t say anything

Sudha:Tumhaari shaadi hai..

Radhika:I KNOW MA!

Sushil(trying to diffuse the situation, hugging his daughter fondly from the back)

“Beta tumhe sangeet mehandi wagerah kahan chahiye, Claridges ya koi aur hotel?

Sudha sucks her breath in in shock

Anu stares at her father in law..

Radhika: Sab Taj Man Singh mein (giggling)

Sushil: Chalo theek hai!

Radhika’s phone rings, she blushes intensely

Anu:Oh-ho! Ma, dekhiye phone…

Sudha is not amused… she is texting her colleague

Sushil uses Radhika’s calculator… a worried look crosses his face…

Anu brings him more chai, he taps her cheek “Meri favorite beti ki jagah tumhe deni padegi ab”

Anu:Thanks Papa!

Sudha rolls her eyes

Radhika is in the balcony “no fair!” she complains, hangs up with a long face…

Her phone beeps with a text

She texts back “H2O” “Two Hearts and one Obsession”
