Ritu hugs her hubby, Dadi questions Ray…

Shaan:I leave you unsupervised for a day and you go get a tattoo? (soft in her ear)

Khanak:”A” tattoo? (chuckles)

Shaan looks at her startled “There is more?”

K: (shrugging carelessly) Maybe!

Dadi is pleased to see her fave couple be so close to each other…

K:Dadi I am sorry!

D:If you didn’t look so good, I would be mad, (hugging her tight)

D:Hmmm….. you look lovely! Did you see the number of eyes turned your way?

K (shy) nahi…

D: Tera miya ekdum pareshaan (her husband is on the phone now)

K:Kyon?

D:Usi ko pooch na………

Pradyun:OMG! OMG! (visibly stunned)

Khanak:That’s enough! (gently warning)

Ritu: Tujhe kya hua?

Dadi: You look gorgeous beta!

Ritu is wearing a peach designer lehanga, Ray a peacock blue suit….

Ritu: Its Krit’s fave color for me (blushing)

Dadi: Tujhe dekhta jar aha tabhi (chuckling)

Pradyun: You look absolutely ravishing….Kanak

K:kHanak!

P:Well… yes

K surrpetiously pulls the edge of her pallu over the tattoo on her right…

P:You got a tattoo (staring openly)

Shaan: Vivaan got here! (buzz off Pradyun)

Pradyun is aghast… he had no clue Khanak is  wild and adventurous.

K:Well… theres a secret…

P:For ME? (eager)

K:Umm…

S: You made it barely in time for the baraat

The band is LOUD… and blaring…………

They play the year’s biggest hit “Chhammak Chhallo”

Madhavi and Khushboo make their way to where Dadi is standing with the brood………… both women are a lil taken aback to see the young girl dressed so classy yet attractive….

M:You look very different but wonderful (blunt)

K:Umm… Thanks Mom…

Khushboo: Really! Mom… haven’t seen her dressed up this way… who convinced you…

Ritu:Aur kaun ho sakta hai bhabhi

The cacophony increases……..

Ritu:Chal lets dance

K:ABHI se?

R:Nahi, pheron tak rukte hain

K giggles………

For some unknown reason her eyes meet her husband’s

Pradyun is done talking with Kritik and Shaan’s friend….

S smiles… roguishly… “So much for the denial this morning” his eyes tell her……..

K is being dragged… Pradyun follows with Kritik and a couple of Shaan’s friends… Sunil and Akshay cheer them on……….. “Apne sangeet mein bahut kam naachi, aaj she should have fun”

In tru Punjabi style, the women and men break out in the most uncoordinated liveliest dance they can do…………. Khanak starts her steps………. Ritu and her make a great team……… Khanak’s eyes sparkle… her face begins to flush…………. Her body and long arms…… rotate flexibly like a rubber band………..

Dadi blows a whistle……. “Meri bahu, har dance competition ki winner hogi”

Pradyun:Wow! You are even better now

K:Thanks! (breathless)

Pradyun whistles……..

Kritik and Ritu join for a twosome move…….

Pradyun approaches the group Khanak is dancing in…

Shantanu’s eyes are pinned on his wife………..
