She let herself in quietly, the house was quiet, no sign of Dadi either,

Sonali: Sab kahan chale gaye? Khushboo kitni achhi aa rahi hai Di

Khanak was used to the clean orangey smell that permeated across the house in the mornings, the help had it clean and sparkling by 6 AM

Pradeep was back with them, Shaan’s  strict instructions on not allowing his wife to be alone. A cab was called in for Fa and Aada, he will bring them back later today or tomorrow…

Sonali: Main jaaoon aapke saath office? (happy)

Khanak: No! Don’t be silly, apna samaan pack karo, sham ko college, bahut enjoy kar chuki tum, tie your hair Sonali, kya hair cut karke aayi tum?

There was a clump of messy locks around her forehead and eyes

Sonali:Aapki tarah cut nahi kiya! (sad) Next time aapke saath Oberoi mein

Khanak: Main Chembur jaati hoon (smirk)

Khanak is outside her suite…

Sonali: Jeeju chale gaye?

Khanak:Mujhe nahi maloom

Sonali lingers

Khanak: Put your things and go have breakfast, mujhe nikalna hai 20 min mein

Sonali walks away reluctantly

She enters his suite… its quiet…

She can hear the shower, she goes to the chest, where her mail basket is, looks through her mail… the Trust letter Mr Kopatwalkar talked about isn’t in there

“How did he say it was mailed then?” she wondered

Didn’t hear the footsteps along the long passage way with classic band and movie posters lining the wall….

Shaan:Hey!

She turned around startled

Unconsciously arranged her hair..
