Towel wrapped around his waist, hair soaking wet… He
approached, noticing a bunch of letters/statements from the bank in her hands
S:Did you have a good trip?
K:Hmmm
S: Your new phone should be here today, I asked my admin to
deliver it at ur desk..
K:Oh!
They both stayed quiet
She quickly slipped the letters back into the basket
S:How is Kaka
K:The same… he is in pain sometimes, they ran some tests
last week, Kaki wants him to be treated in Mumbai (agitated, unaware saying
more than she should)
He listens carefully
K: Roz Mumbai kaise aayenge? Yaha rehna (shakes her head)
He stares stunned, that lil body packed SO MUCH WORRY… where
did she have the brain power to think so much… how she did tirelessly
K: Kaki ko to (STOPS!)
K:I am sorry… (sad)
S: I wont tell ur Kaki I promise (grinned softly)
K:I know she calls you everyday (not willing to give up)
S:You called me twice…
K:Dadi ne phone nahi uthaya (upset)
S smiled approached
K:Shantanu…
He just hugged her…. “What did the Trust say”
K: More like what did YOU say to Mr Sathe?
S:Nothing… why? (surprised)
K:He agreed to my plan (confused) Mr Kopatwalkar ne to…
S: I don’t want to talk about this Khanak…
K:Arent you going to be mad at me?
S:At nite… yes… in bed….
She groaned… clinging
S: You are over extending yourself…
K:I know… (tired)
S: Why?
K:I….
S: Hmmm
K: Ive always been this way (softly)
S: You are very careless Khanak…
K:Not with money…
S: But with yourself (hugging her tight)
K:I only do what I can (lying)
S:Riiight…
She nuzzled, standing on her toes….
K:I like this soap (gently feeling the towel knot)
S:I have an 8:30 (don’t do it!)
She slips it off anyway….
They laughed softly, teasing each other… he said something
for her ears only, she responded back spiritedly…
K: I am so sleepy
S:Take the day off
K: I… I cant (on his lips)
S:Will you tell me about the Trust issue
K: Kyon? (fearful)
S:khanak… you drive me insane
K:You as well…
S: I was shaking when you called me and started to cry…
Tickling his bely softly
K: I wish I could have seen that…Shantanu…
He kissed her
S: Why did you have to be so independent
K: Why do you have to be so (stood on her toes and whispered
in his ears)

SIGHHH! Such a LONG way... Khanak being forthcoming is enthralling!!! I remember Paula mentioning he will make her happy...he does certainly.
More than this, Khanak's self respect heightens Shantanu's admiration of her being her...the hug said it all in more way than one, maybe he hates she doesnt involve him and ask for help obviously he worries BUT he clearly respects her for having a dignifying way of handling herself and the family
