Mr Shantanu Gujral is drowning in a game of European soccer,
Khanak has just returned from work… irritated and tired….
Dadi and Madhavi are talking about neighbors’ family event…
Sunil and Akshay are out playing tennis….
Khanak: Dad kahan hai?
Shaan: Hey! (turning around to see her)
K: Hi!, aap tab se match dekh rahe hain?
Dadi laughs
Madhavi:The wife!
K:I called him at THREE he was watching a match… Its SEVEN
he is still watching a match….. meri local friend ki engagement hai
D:Jao beta
S:Soon after the match ends
K:Please turn off the TV NOW!
Madz:Oooh! She has a temper!
S:Does SHE! (serious)
K:Will you please turn it off?
S:I thought you were looking for Dad!
K:K … then… I will ask him to go with me then (huffing)
D:Shaan puttar…..
K:I texted him TWICE Dadi! (angry, waving two fingers)
S:I said I would go AFTER the match……..
She walks over and turns off the TV…..
Madz squirms…
Dadi looks worried
S:Khanak don’t be silly….. can I have the remote please!
K:NO!
Starts walking out with it, her husband, turns the TV back
on and manipulates the controls by hand… to get to his Sports network
K:I am tired of soccer……. Subah sham soccer ya kaam
Madz is up….. “ Khanak… calm down beta”
K: Mom, main subah se (sad)
Dadi:Shaaan!
Shaan sips his beer……… lounging further
Khanak goes off and powers off the TV again…..
K:I am going WITH DAD!
Turns towards him, Madz has left…… Dadi is trying to escape.
K:Aap kaha ja rahi ho Dadi…….. you can watch……
Shaan laughs out loud……… “Are you kidding me? You want Dadi
to watch the clobbering…..
K:Why not! Maine subah aapko kaha…….. 5 baje….. (stops
abruptly, blushes intensely) I mean I texted you…… twice
S:Khanak… I got back at 6! Ive had a harrowing day……
K:Koi nayi baat batayen aap! (frustrated)
D:Kuch kha lo beta!
Shaan tunes the TV settings yet again……..
Warning the young girl, HL is approaching
K:Mere liye to kuch hoga nahi usme…. Sab aapke fave potey ka
hoga
Shaan chuckles, smiles at HL
HL:Bhabhiji chai laaoon?
K: HL main nahakar neeche peekar, mujhe sagai mein jaana hai
K:HL Dad kahan hai
D:Beta who tennis…
K:Mujhe aapse koi baat nahi karni Dadi, aap (sulking)
D:Ab maine kya kiya?
HL walks away smiling……
S: Khanak it’s the last 7.5 minutes… I BEG YOU!
K:Nahi!
Khanak opens the lids on the bowls
K:Yeh kya hai?
D:Fish tacos……..
K:Ughhhhhhhhhh!
D:Beta who laayega tera snack ruk le puttar
K:I am going…..
She picks up his half empty bottle of beer and drains in a
water jug
S swears colorfully
D:Shhhhhhhhh! You guys!
S:Not funny Khanak
K:Not meant to be Mr Gujral…….
She lays the bottle down sideways it slowly rolls on the
coffee table…….
D:Main tera nashta dekhti hoon
Dadi vaporizes……
Shaan grabs the remote… using the opp
She walks over and turns off the TV again…..
K:I am going to Pune on Friday and Ahmedabad on Sunday……. I
hope Man U loses badly……Shantanu! (softly). I hate your love for soccer….. and
your craziness about that job! (vents)
S:Like hell! (cursing as he goes after her)
Wow!!! Loved it..:) What a change in Khanak!!! Commanding and ordering and speaking firmly almost shouting at Shaan..lol..:D Cool!!!

So Khanak is going out to Pune and Ahmedabad!!! Shaan not gonna agree and like it..lol..:D And he left watching the match and went behind her after her declaration..;)

yeh dono are like kids just loved it aditee, both of the arguing like there is no tomorrow :D
anyways just liked khanak being authoritative with shaan its her haq i bet he liked it too he always loves to annoy her and get her maddened :P :D
really really enjoyed the update i don't think so both are getting out of the room after this :P

ReplyDeleteTheir arguments are just SO SO witty and FUN! This one was utterly cute… Khanak has never spoken this MUCH in front of the family leave aside arguing which was unexpected :)
More for the reason that it left Madhavi astounded with this side of Khanak...loving this demanding and imposing side of hers finally coming to the fore instead of being concealed.
She is just too good! Totally. The last line was spot on, she knows what gets him agitated and on the line!
I’m wondering if she approved the Goa suggestion...Update sooon!
