March 7th
Barking "Gujral" into the phone the nite after Holi was the last time she ever saw him or heard him... Dad had just nodded and left her alone, patting her shoulder... though he understood he was disappointed....... Sunil was around to say goodbyes to her parents next morning, but no sign of Shaan, Dadi squirmed when Aada questioned...
"Project is in a critical phase" she reassured them...
Aada nodded proudly...
Aada and Bai were already hurting over Sonali's misbehavior and the implosion it caused in his family... they had no idea about Khanak defying her "husband's wishes"
People talked about Shaan, mentioned Shaan, talked to him on the phone while she was in the room but there was not one direct contact from him...
Ritu had been apalled to hear she had rejected Dad's offer... she had scolded her strongly on being too "adarshwaadi"
"Is it OK if it costs you your marriage?" she had asked...
"I cannot enjoy the wealth, I am not entitled to it" she responded vehemently...
"You rejected DAD'S OFFER?" Maloom hai mujhe tujhme kitni himmat hai, but had no idea you would do this"
Dadi didnt know about it, it looked like, there was no "comforting or advising" from her...
Khanak went about her daily routine as if she lived in Chembur, Pradip waited dropped her off, picked her up...
It began to rile her that Shaan was invisible...
i said it before only he is very upset and angry and we know how he behaves in this condition :(

when they avoid each other at times like these solution toh nahi nikalta they just end it with making out atleast this time they should talk properly

ReplyDeleteone of them will have to come to terms warna ritu is right they marriage will come into lot of problems and mujhe pata hai none of them will as both are so stubborn :(
i hope khanak riling becomes her admission to why she doesnt want the wealth and as usually he will be stunned by her :P

It looks khanaks ‘adaarshwadi’ comes across her being egoistic! But its more to do with her acceptance of her being a Gujral now which just doesn’t sink in…Does she fear accepting it? I mean the closeness it will bring…I think within her she still fears about the marriage
I want Khanak to SPEAK this time and I don’t want him to help her in any such way :P
