Sunil joined the group in a few, he was surprised to see Shaan in the lounge....
Dadi defended him ferociously "He has started coming home on time, dekha"
Sunil rolled his eyes "Ma, what did u score in statistics?"
Dadi smacked him...
Sunil:I am just sayin! You are basing your conclusion on sample data of ONE DAY.
Shaan laughed "Here we go!" he said smugly "Beat up on the baby of the house"
Sunil:IN your dreams... Amogh is younger!
Khanak blushed furiously... trying to hide the person that was little-ER than Amogh
Dadi: Kal ko iska khud ka hoyega to that would be the youngest
Shaan: Thanks Dadi! But no thanks! (firm)
Khanak looked disturbed....
Shaan:I like routine.... there is none after a baby... I see Bhabhi... and Akshay... they look like theyve been hit by a truck most mornings...
Sunil:Phir tu kaise aata?
Shaan:Too bad you made the choice Dad! (he laughed out loud)
Sunil did too at his son's brazen cockiness
Dadi tried to be the voice of reason "Its the natural succession path for any marriage beta"
Shaan:Mine seems to be just fine without the baby...
Khanak's belly churned....."Dadi" she stopped the woman feebly...
Dadi:I hope God gives you septuplets!
Shaan:Wont be "God" (he winked)
Dadi:Thanks ab mujhe apni bedroom stories na bata, khotha! (yelling)
Madz got off the phone
Madz: He must not want any Mom!
Dadi:What about what she wants?
Madz squirmed....
Khanak played with Amogh... Maria went in to grab Amogh's sippy cup
Dadi: YOU wanted a second one... Sunil ne mana kiya kya?
Sunil: Oh! boy! That was something...
Madz:Not funny Sunil
Madz: Life just turns upside down Ma, Shaan is very ambitious...
Dadi:More than Sunil? More than Akki?
Dadi was very passionate today... her words were shrill... she didnt want her daughter in law to win... Khanak's victory would mean, she would go into hiding... that wont be good... all around....
Sunil:Relax Ma! Things will turn around....
Dadi: He abs refuses to talk about it... that annoys me
Shaan was on the phone... her "blingy" one
He leaned while he was on hold "We just need to go up... all this baby talk is making me -----" he chuckled in her ear
She squirmed... "I am already pregnant" she wanted to blurt...
He lingered on her ear....his stubbly... breath disturbing her already fragile sanity
"I need to ask the Doc if women have higher libido when pregnant" she made a note to herself....
"Mmm..mmm" she said weakly
"Thats what I heard through the honeymoon from you" he barked in her ear...
Maria: Maam, iska grape juice...
Amogh slanted it al over Shaan letting the gold liquid spray over....
"You lil...devil" Shaan picked him up and threw him in the air
"Kakeeee" he yelled
"Shaan please" Khanak pleaded...
Amogh reached for his sippy in Khanak's hand now... "I have another beverage for you" he chuckled... reaching for his chilled mug...
Amogh was ready for ANY drink...
"You are so bad!" Khanak fumed...
"Then lets go upstairs" he muttered softly...
Sunil: Grooming an alchoholic there?
Dadi:You guys are terrible...
Shaan laughed in joyed...
Dadi:I hope you have three girls... and all of them fall in love with a guy like you!
Dadi helped yank Amogh from Shaan's arms and handed him to Khanak...
Dadi:You should have run away... gone back to Ahmedabad... ekdum chup chaap... you should have let him burn and stew (in Punjabi)
Khanak turned red....
Shaan was expressionless... he didnt say anything
Both him and Khanak knew they would have sought each other out....
Dadi:Dhoondta rehda si... deewana (Dadi cursed her grandson fondly)
He spoke on his phone.... staring at the two women....
Dadi:You are too nice to him puttar
Khanak:I know (quick)
Shaan put his call on hold "Thanks Dadi... love you too" (snarky)
Dadi:She puts up with you! You are arrogant and selfish...
Shaan:Dont put words in her mouth! Call you back" he said to the caller... hanging up...
Dadi: You must be hungry beta... let me get you something to eat, urging Khanak to go with her...
Khanak started to get up
Shaan: What about me?
Dadi:Get your own food.. you carnivore...
Shaan laughed...latching on to his wife bangles...
Khanak:I have to go!
Shaan: Nahi (firmly)

shaans reasons are very strong n it seems like no one is able to change his mind as he is so stubborn on what he wants :((
hayyyeee amogh can say Kakee now lol! how cute! he loves amogh so much but jst doesnt want any responsibility of children lol! he has a funny logic lol!
loved their conversation between them he wont let her go and she will go it looks like and i think dadi will have to agree too after his reaction this time :((

ReplyDeletemissed reading casa......thank you aditi.........shaan is more vocal about the no child policy than before.....seems Dadi even got to know her favourite grandsons explicit rejection of the idea.......we are heading for a separation....the pink and blue seems like its a reflection of what is coming.....enjoyed it tremendously....

He doesn't want baby now he has told many times but now it happened and he doesn't know i want to know his mind thoughts and what happened in Chembur eagerly waiting to read the future parts :-)

Urgh ughh! He is such a passionate illogical and sigh worthy guy! Khanak is correct…it is hard to let go and also not to be MAD or angry at him!
He seems so determine NOT change anything about his life right now. He doesn’t want any extra commitment…Gosh! He isn’t aware his life is going to take a u-turn! Cant wait!
I think Dadi will eventually give in to Khanaks plan or secretly plot to make him suffer…She seems quite disturbed with Shantanu’s stance on no baby!
Khanak’s silence is definitely reflecting she has gave up on him…She knows Dadis rants are useless…I feel so sorry for her! She is at a junction where she will lose and gain…

it was a fabulous update Aditee.......i think that when Shaan actually comes to know the news his views might not be so rigid about not having a baby.........he loves his wife so much.........dadi is trying her best to reason with her grandson..........and poor Khanak, she has to choose between her husband and the baby...........waiting for the next update very eagerly!!
